  • The Nature Museum offers science and nature workshops that are aligned with Illinois Learning Standards. These creative, hands-on programs will enhance your field trip experience, and enrich learning outside of school. If you’re interested in adding a student workshop to your visit, please see page 4 of our brochure for workshop and pricing information.

  • Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 students per class. Fees are a flat rate per class. If you have more than 30 students, you will need more than 1 class.

  • SCIENCE & NATURE WORKSHOPS - 45 minutes $125.00/class of 30 students

  •
  • Each class you bring may adopt their own butterfly -- the limit is one butterfly per class. Please be sure to indicate above how many butterflies your school is adopting.

Signed up for a Monarchs Workshop? Take your students one step further by releasing your very own butterfly. Never enough money for a workshop? Now you have a fun, affordable alternative.

This is a single butterfly release only not a workshop. A Visitor Services staff member will greet you upon your arrival into the Haven to hand you your butterfly. You may want to discuss conservation concepts with your students prior to your visit.

    YOUR CLASS WILL:
    - Receive an adoption certificate from the Museum
    - Release a butterfly during your scheduled visit into the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven
    - Directly support the Museum's education programming.
