Pizza Plants

Find out how fun it is to grow food at home. Take a tour of Nature’s LunchBox to discover fun food facts. Participants plant a pizza sauce ingredient to take home with a tasty, easy recipe.

Bonkers for Bugs

Observe a collection of the Museum’s resident creepy crawlies with a birthday bug zoo. Your experience will include a live ladybug release in the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Participants make a bug hotel to take home.

Happy Bird-day

Discover the basics of bird watching. Glimpse the Museum’s feathered friends with a bird watching trip to the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Participants decorate and take home a bird feeder. Ages 5 and up.

Frog Fest

Hop into a world of frogs, toads and salamanders with a display of the Museum’s amphibians. Keep the frog fun going with a selection of amphibian themed games. Participants paint a rock frog to bring home. Ages 5 and up.

Butterfly Gardens

Learn how to attract butterflies to your garden. Take a guided tour of the Museum’s beautiful Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Participants plant a flower seed and take it home in a decorative planter. (Available April through September)
