Illinois Energy Bike
The Energy Bike is a human-powered stationary bicycle that allows participants to feel and observe energy. Riders get to experience the difference between powering incandescent and compact flourescent light bulbs. It is a fun, hands-on learning tool that helps children and adults understand the environmental and economic benefits of energy efficiency.
The Energy Bike can be used for classroom presentations and assemblies, afterschool programs, community events, festivals and any other events that promote energy efficiency and sutainable living.
Do you have questions or want more information about the Energy Bike? Please email energybike@naturemuseum.org.
If you are interested in borrowing the Energy Bike for an event please download the Energy Bike Request Form and brochure.
