Children of the River

Using the Children of the River Video

Introduce the activity to your students by showing the Children of the River video. Afterward, take the opportunity to discuss the students' reactions to the events on Walpole Island and complete the hands-on discovery activity, Go With the Flow. The concept of human interaction with the environment is reinforced in the video and in the activity. Allow the students to make their own connections as much as possible. Repeated viewings of the video, or selected portions of the video, are recommended.
