River of Doubt

Using the River of Doubt Video

Teachers should introduce the program to their students by showing the River of Doubt video in its entirety, with a primarily affective focus. If the one-hour video is too long to show in a single class session, break it up into approximately 20-minute sections. Each of the unit introductions makes a reference to the tape. Take the opportunity each time to continue discussion with the students about their reactions to the events along the journey down the River of Doubt. Repeated viewings of the video, or specific parts of the video, are recommended.
